My love hate relationship with selfies

Aaahhh The Selfie...

There was a time I was looked down upon for my million selfie photos on my phone, then I got into professional photography and then my lame cellphone camera photos just wasn't good enough...but it did help me with my poses

now guess what! Its back... the selfie is slowly creeping back in....

Its not a sin to take a selfie I just think the manner some people(GIRLS) do it makes selfie's lame.

If you're gonna take a selfie... DON'T LOAD ALL 600 PHOTOS YOU TOOK ON FACEBOOK/TWITTER/INSTAGRAM!  One is enough!

Selfie's should be that..."O look at my makeup/hair/clothes" thing...

Not..."o' here's a 360 view of how I look today!"

Whats even worse about selfie's...is some people make a WHOLE album of it... titled: "ME, MYSELF AND I" OR "JUST ME" OR "BEING BORED" then stop being bored and pick up a book!

Be proud of your selfies..and dont disguise them with lame excuses..WE KNOW YOU'RE LYING!

No...selfie's should be cool! and I think it is a cool thing.. some people just ruin it with their lameness...

We all had such a fun time playing old school games, some domino's and 5 in a row. Drinking some beer, drinking some wine, music in the back ground, chilling in the shade, having an amazing lunch learning to play the didgeridoo and just chilling on the ground like where hippy's with no worries...

Bring it like Beyonce

If anyone has any doubt that Beyonce is one of the best performers in the world then you need to climb out your little box of insanity and experience life, as I was on the tube of you, Beyonce's Superbowl videos are all over my suggestion list, so I thought ill take a gander at her performance...  That women knows how to bring it, especially one that just had a child the other day... Shes shaking and swinging and fanning her hair like she paid for it... Kudos to Beyonce..

My friend played me this song the other day, and I didn't take much note to it, but I knew the lead singer from my favourite band sings in it...

Yesterday while googling I discovered pink has a new song so I went in on to check it and saw Nate was singing with her...so I listened to the song properly and now its on constant repeat...BEAUTIFUL SONG, BEAUTIFUL WORD.

I don't like to struggle or waste time!!

This is just gonna be a post about me moaning, so If you care not to read it, please go over to youtube, and search talking parrot videos...because its time for me to let out some frustrations...

This blog is exactly what the name says, I hate struggling, and things that waste time...

In this dear life of ours, we don't really stop to smell the roses, the more we do the more we feel like we've accomplished something..no one really goes and says " wow, i'm so jealous of becky, she's really been trying not to fall into the rush of society"

Even though we're all thinking it, saying we should slow down, appreciate the scenery and the people and spend more time with people rather than stalking their profiles...what what what...but in this cutthroat life of ours, if you don't keep up you will stay behind...and missing these things in life will prove social awkwardness..and no one wants that...

That is the reason we don't like to waste time, you want to do as much as possible as quick as possible. While i've proven to be a procrastinator, when I do decide to do the deed because its crunch time, then I don't need some sales lady saying something like shell phone me back, or someone delaying the process...I need it done now!

Life has been modified so that everything can run smoother and faster, but thats when reality kicks in and your printer/pc/universe decides to kick you in the ass and says NO!! we will not do what ever you need us to do!

I mean isn't life more than going through our daily lives struggling with this, waiting for that...but then how would we appreciate something good, if nothing bad ever happens...we'll maybe I like to live in this fairytale world where everything runs smoothly... Don't like to struggle with people, with clients, with suppliers, with money, with technology...I like smooth sailing.

Wasn't life easier when your only burdens were to churn your butter, milk the cows, and to sow clothes for your children?? Probably!... but im sure it wasn't as exciting as it is now, I guess all these small little nips in life prepares you for the future.

I know this really does seem like a petty thing, but come one,,, wouldn't it be nice ;)

How excited was I when I saw on my morning Facebook feed that the band Fun. made a new music video of their hit carry on! 

I was beside myself, I absolutely LOVE the band, love their music, love their style, I just wish they would make more music, cause I can’t get enough of them...it’s crazy, everywhere I go I tell people about them, and how they HAVE to listen to their songs and how cool their tunes are. 

It would be an ultimate dream to go watch them live, it would actually be even cooler if they came to SA and performed here, I WOULD BE FROM ROW CENTRE GOLDEN CIRCLING IT, like I own them!!!

Pet peeve: Guys

I’m a very relaxed person, not a lot of things phase me, and I’m very chilled, what happens happens...except I have a bad problem with road rage, stupid people and over confident guys...

Yeah and I know guys are the hunter they have to go out exposing themselves to rejection so that they can find a mate...but there’s just something EXTREMELY TACKY ABOUT A FACEBOOK INBOX MESSAGE SAYING "hay asemrowende mooi secy dame hoe gnt met jou" (hey, breathtakingly beautiful, sexy girl, how’s it going - translation)

Where do I even start??? 

Another thing you should know about me, I despise chatting to random strangers, nothing more could annoy me than trying to interrogate you on what you do, what’s your plans, what’s your thought, where you work, what music you like...   so knowing this, you can imagine what thoughts are going through my mind.

First, I DON'T KNOW YOU, it’s not socially appropriate to send that to a stranger, that’s not some kind of pick up line...you don't see me tweeting that to Channing Tatum, I might thinking it...but don't be weird like that! 

Next...sms text* you know I can settle for abbreviating a sentence on twitter with the whole 140 characters, but there is NO excuse to type like a child when you’re sending a inbox message where characters have no restriction to your message...type properly, spelling, use grammar, spaces, exclamation or question marks...these thing aren't that difficult! I mean really!! 

So my advice to guys out there, maybe other girls are into messages like that, but not me...fastest way to pee me off is to do that. Be cool about it, don’t creep a girl out. I definitely don’t see myself sitting around the dining room table with you as my husband telling my kids, your dad sent me a facebook message saying the following line, and I was just head over heels in love on the spot... No, never... 

and whatever you do keep it classy! 

Edge of Seventeen

If there's one thing a lot of people know about me is my love for 80's music...

Im not even ashamed to say I listen to it...so what if my parents listened to it..one day my children will be rocking to black eyed peas and Taylor swift.
 I have a whole hits collection of 80 tunes that I entertain people with when they are lucky enough to go on a drive with me in mycar, where we sing cheesy songs and do the moves like we own them..

So last night while waiting for a friend at a restaurant a song from Stevie Nicks starts playing...Thank you to Google I can over play that tune today and sing along like its ladies karaoke night.

Whats this world coming to..

I just got the new Jason Mraz and John Mayer album...its brilliant go out and get it!!! free advertising...jokes. So being a big fan of music and music videos I went and you-tubed these 2 guys newest songs....and I was shocked...is there some unknown trend flying around in the alternative blues/rock/acoustic/soul (unquoted from wiki) department that I don't know about where you dress like some lone ranger and like grow all the hair on your head...I really hope not, Other wise i'm predicting a very lonely future me. I refuse to date a grizzly!!!
